Quality Management Unit
Structure
Our Quality Management Unit operates on a 24/7 monitoring and improvement basis through the joint coordination of the Directorate of Quality and Human Resources, the Quality Unit Secretariat, departmental quality officers, and our expert health committees.
Patient Safety Committee
It proactively assesses the risks of medical errors that may occur during diagnosis, treatment, and care processes. It ensures the full implementation of protocols for patient identification, safe surgical procedures, fall prevention, and medication administration safety.
Education Committee
It aims to ensure that all physicians, nurses, and administrative staff at the hospital maintain their professional competencies. It plans and oversees on-the-job orientation programs, emergency drills, and periodic training focused on Quality Standards in Healthcare.
Facility Safety Committee
It monitors the physical resilience of hospital buildings, fire detection and suppression systems, and the continuity of technical infrastructure. It creates a safe physical environment by updating evacuation plans for potential disasters and emergencies.
Blood Transfusion Committee
It meticulously monitors the procurement and storage of blood and blood products under appropriate conditions, as well as cross-matching tests and transfer processes. By recording transfusion reactions in real time, it manages the safe use of blood in accordance with national guidelines.
Infection Control Committee
It conducts active surveillance throughout the hospital to minimize the risk of healthcare-associated infections. It coordinates processes related to sterilization units, hand hygiene practices, isolation measures, and the prudent use of antibiotics.
Radiation Safety Committee
It regularly monitors the radiation doses to which patients, healthcare workers, and the surrounding environment may be exposed in diagnostic and imaging units. It ensures the periodic calibration of equipment, the use of protective equipment, and compliance with international shielding standards.
Clinical Quality Improvement Committee
It examines the clinical effectiveness of medical services, treatment success rates, and patient care outcomes through indicator-based analyses. In line with evidence-based medical practices, it identifies process deficiencies and develops continuous quality improvement projects.
Organ and Tissue Transplantation Committee
It ensures that brain death determination and potential donor processes are carried out quickly and transparently, in full compliance with legal regulations. It works in coordination with coordination centers to raise awareness within the hospital and in the community about the importance of organ donation.
Baby-Friendly Hospital Committee
It organizes counseling services designed to instill awareness of proper breastfeeding practices starting from pregnancy in order to protect the health of mothers and infants. It implements national and international standards that prevent the use of breast milk substitutes and outline steps for successful breastfeeding.
